My name is Jacksyn, I am a woman, mother, veteran, and black small business owner. I started IAMUPBEAT in 2021 during a time when my life was not upbeat at all. I was going through a lot of things in my life. I was in school full-time, working in the military (current), and raising twins as a single parent. It was a lot of stress piling up, even before getting some news that turned my world upside down. Then in the middle of the black hole that I was getting sucked into, COVID-19 and quarantine added to the struggle. I was barely holding on.
